About Bahari

Discover the story behind your favorite culinary destination

Our Story & Origin

Bahari was founded in 2024 with a simple vision: to bring authentic, heartwarming cuisine to our community. The name "Bahari" means "ocean" in Swahili, representing our commitment to bringing together diverse culinary traditions from across the world like the ocean connects continents.

Our founder, inspired by his childhood memories of family gatherings around delicious meals. After traveling extensively and studying culinary arts, He returned to Kenya with a dream to create a space where people could experience the same joy and connection through food.

Mission & Values

At Bahari, we're committed to excellence in every aspect of our operation. We believe that great food starts with exceptional ingredients, which is why we source locally whenever possible and maintain direct relationships with Kenyan farmers and producers.

Our chefs stay true to authentic recipes while adding creative touches that make each dish uniquely Bahari. We measure our success not just by satisfied taste buds, but by the memorable experiences we create for every customer who walks through our doors.

What Makes Us Unique

Our custom-built wood-fired oven, imported from Italy, gives our pizzas that perfect crispness and smoky flavor that can't be replicated. We roast our coffee beans in-house using traditional methods that bring out their full character and complexity.

Many of our recipes come from generations of family cooking, including our signature spice blends that have been perfected over decades. We're particularly proud of our secret marinara sauce recipe that has customers coming back week after week.
